FairPoint Is Failing to Please New Customers - Complaints range from problems with customer service to issues with caller ID

After finally starting to take over Verizon’s New England network, FairPoint has made a bad first impression with customers which seems to keep getting worse. The main issue thus far has been serious problems with 911 service in Maine which has led to a delay in the network takeover there.
